Step into a world where whimsy and classical grace collide in our dynamic concert lineup. Albert Schnelzer's "A Freak in Burbank" blends Tim Burton's quirkiness with Haydn's ingenuity, offering a thrilling opener. The concert then softens with one of NZ’s only solo harp concertos in Gillian Whitehead's "Karohirohi," a piece echoing eighteenth-century poise. Post-intermission, the harp continues to enchant in Debussy's "Danses Sacrées et Profanes," before we close with the rhythmic elegance of Haydn's "Symphony No.101, ‘The Clock’," a playful masterpiece of timing and wit. Conducted by Vincent Hardaker and featuring harp soloist Ingrid Bauer.
